Thanks for the eagle eye, Jim. Actually, I'm descended from J. Joseph SPEIDEL and Barbara WITT of Montgomery Co., PA. I have discussed the fact that their daughter, Barbara, married John FEARY of Berks Co. in 1797 and their son (John & Barbara's) was Henry FEARY, who married Elizabeth EISENHOWER.
When I found the marriage of Magdalena EISENHOWER and J. Jacob SPEIDEL in Canada, I remarked that there is probably some connection between the Speidels & Eisenhowers of PA and the Speidels & Eisenhowers of Canada. Through the EISENHOWER genforum, I've learned that Elizabeth Eisenhower FEARY's grandfather, Jacob, was probably the brother of Magdalena EISENHOWER, who married J. Jacob SPEIDEL in Canada.
The connection between her husband, J.Jacob SPEIDEL of Canada and J. Joseph SPEIDEL of PA remains to be established. I know that at times I have confused this forum by interchanging the SPEIDEL names of J. Jacob and J. Joseph. Hope this clarifies things. Thanks for the notice.
