Orange County, Indiana Court Probate bk 2, p. 44, 27 Feb 1843.

In Dower

Anna Speer, Petitioner v. Ashbury Speer and others, Defendants.

"To the Honorable Samuel Webb, sole Judge of the Orange probate Court. Your petitioner Anna Speer, widow and relict of Moses Speer dec'd would humbly represent that Moses Speer, late of the County of Orange and state of Indiana, departed this life some ime in the year 1841, seized and possessed of the following described real estate viz: [description of land] ...situate in said County of Orange, and left your petitioner his widow and relict, and the following heirs viz: Ashbury Speer, Lovel Speer, Lemuel Pickens, and Mahala,, his wife, formerly Mahala Speer, Hiram Speer, Green Speer, and Joshua Speer, who are of full and mature age, and Garrett Speer, Moses Speer, and Aaron Speer, his children, who are minors and Sarah Ann Speer and Betsey Ann Speer, children of William Speer, and grandchildren of the said Moses Speer, dec'd."

Just wanted to post this portion to show documentation of the children of Moses and Anna Speer. They had one additional son, Isaac, who died in 1821 and is buried iin the Moses Speer Cemetery in Orange Co., IN.
