In the 1860 Elk, Vinton, Ohio census, George and Mary Mercy are listed with some of their children and most likely grandchildren. If Drucilla, who is listed as Drucilla Ullom age 33 (born 1827/28) is one of their children, then the children listed under her name, i.e., Sarah, Lydia, Nancy and George W. (age 10 months) are their grandchildren. This George (age 10 months) is not their son.Their son, George W. Speed (born 25 Nov 1827) is listed in the 1850 Dist. 18, Marion Co., Iowa census age 22, and in the 1880 Swan/Union, Marion Co., Iowa census as age 53, and the 1900 Swan Twp, Marion Co., Iowa census age 72, a widower.
In the 1850 United States Federal Census > Ohio > Vinton > McArthurstown, Drucilla Ullom is listed with spouse George Ullom and children Sarah age 8 and Nancy age 1.
My data base shows Jeremiah (1819), George W. (1827), Catharine (cal 1832), Amon (1834), Francis Marion (1841) and James Nelson (1843).Because of the space between some of their birthdates, there most likely are other children for whom I do not have any data.
Hope this helps.Lenore
