Samuel Speed was my gt-gt-gt-grandfather. His daughter Caroline married Joseph Dawes (bn Wednesbury West Mids), they married in Whitby (they were living in Grosmont, North Yorkshire at the time). They had several children and their daughter Rosanna married Tom Spurr in Hunslet, Leeds. Their son Arthur married Mary (Mitchell); their son Douglas married Gwyneth (Evans)- my parents.
