I recently visited Rabun County, GA and went to two cemeteries off Warwoman Road where I photgraphed headstones and markers. This will provide some dates and some marriage connections. Joint markers will list both names with no spaces between the two names. I notice the Leroy M. Ledford is often referred to as Mathison, Madison, etc, Leroy and yet the marker shows the M belonging to his middle name. The wife of Leroy M shows as Susana M. Ledford (not Susan A. M. as I have often seen).
I do not have any additional verified information at this time other than that listed below. Hope it is of help to someone. Leroy M. is my GGGrandfather. His son, John Madkson Ledford, was the father to my grandmother, Effie Lou Ledford (Hunter). I have listed all info photographed on July 24, 2004. Maxine McClanahan
