I found your George Speed family in Barron, Barron, WI in the 1880 census. George & Ann L lived with their sons Walter & Frank, while son Silas & his family were the next household listed. George's father Henry seemed to live with him as well. Frank is Frank Truman Speed, who married Edith Jane Wood on 3 Jul 1882 in Cumberland,Barron, WI. Her father Josiah Daniel Wood moved his family to Barron county, WI in 1877 from Juneau county, where they had arrived in 1872 from Erie county, PA. My husband is descended from Edith Jane Wood's grandfather Squire Wood (b c 1802 in NY, d 1864 in Erie county, PA).
Most of the info I have is on the Wood family, but also have some on Frank Speed's line. Would be glad to share info if you like.
