Hi, I've hit a brick wall with my ggg grandmother Edith Spear of Gardiner, Kennebec Co., Maine. I can't connect her to any of the many Spear families of the Gardiner area. I have no idea who her parents or siblings were. Edith Spear was born about 1807 in Gardiner and died 5 Feb 1888 in Gardiner. She married Ebenezer Merrill born about 1796, possibly in Sandown, Rockingham Co., New hampshire. he died in the 1850's. They were married 4 Nov 1821 in Gardiner. Their children were Miriam, Jeremiah, Patience, Emily, Joanna, William H., George, and John. If anyone knows where they are buried or the names of the parents or siblings please let me know.
