Name Change Info

I am in search of some info. I believe that my family name has gone through some name changes. May be even several. The changes could have been deliberate or unintentional from an ancestor and census worker not sure how to spell our last name.

My family branch spells the name as SPEIGHTS. Some of the other spellings I think there could be are Speight, Spikes, Spake, Spakes, Spate, Spates, Spade, Spake, Speak, Speake, Speaks, Spight, and Spights. There could be more but these are some I am aware of.

If anybody has any info on this I would appreciate any info you might have?
