Joshua:You beat me to the correction. I always review sources when some question comes up. I was right both in Caroline's name and in that she was in the Pound-Kester book. However, her maiden name was Fidler, and she was in the book because she married James D. Kester, in 1869, in Vigo co., IN.I have her in my records as Kester because that was her name when she married Richard M.I will change that.I apologize for the misleading info.
I don't rememmber if the Pound-Kester book gave Caroline's parents. (It includes pretty much anything told to the researchers.)My research today indicates that they were Martin Fidler and Fannie ____. Martin was born about 1805, KY, and is last known living in 1870, Vigo co., IN.Fannie was born about 1803, KY, and was last known living 1860, Bullitt co., KY.If her parents aren't named in that book, be cautious.Martin appar. had a brother James, who also had a daughter named Caroline, and who also lived in Vigo co., IN, and I noticed that James and Martin are very tangled up in the family trees you may come onto. They are absolutely different people.
The Pound, Kester, Sparks and Fidler families lived in the same small area both in KY and in Vigo co., IN, and are very intermarried.Ralph.
