Daniel Porter Sparks, Sr., (1816-1802), was the son of Elijah Sparks and Elizabeth PORTER, (daughter of Edward Porter and Elizabeth Morgan, b. abt. 1760-1770, VA).

The wife of Daniel Porter Sparks was Mary Ann Boyd. Daniel and Mary Ann Sparks are buried in Centerville, Appanoosa, Iowa.
