Missouri Sparks Was my great Grandmother's older sister. she was born abt. 1861.
Her Father was Augustus C. Sparks born abt 1831 in Habersham Cty. Ga. and died in Oconee County, Georgia
Her Mother was Mary Ann Rice also born abt 1831.
Siblings were:
Alice C. Sparks born abt 1854
Edward P. Sparks born abt 1856
Martha J. Sparks born abt 1858
Amanda Sparks born abt 1863
Henry Sparks born abt 1868
Webbie Isabella Sparks born May 1864 (my Great Grandmother)
Pink Sparks born abt 1870
Her maternal grandparents were
Jesse Rice born abt. 1795 in Georgia and Wiby Rice born abt. 1790 in Virginia.
Augustus Mother was named Barsley and was born abt. 1802.
All of these lived in Habersham County and later moved to Oconee county probably near Bogart, Ga.
I don't have much else but will help where I can. Would love to know more about Missouri's family.
Most of this info came from census records and my mother's memory so I can't guarrenty how accurate it is.
By the way my grandmother's older sister was named Missouri, after yours I'm sure.
