Additonally, on Dec 3, 1855, Silas was appointed guardian for his two children. I have the original receipt signed by W. A. Spann dated Feby 24 1864: "Recd of Silas H. Spann my guardian Six hundred and Seventy six dollars in full of my distributive share of Grand Father Jesse Lotts estate."
