Reba,

TARVER AVENUE was named probably for BENJAMIN JAMES TARVER who married SUSAN SHELTON WHITE. He was the son of SILAS TARVER (1795-1862), Chairman of the Wilson Co. Court for many years, and his wife, NANCY HARRIS.

B.J. TARVER was a prominent attorney in Lebanon. His wife,
SUSAN SHELTON WHITE, was a daughter of JAMES DEARING WHITE and LUCY ANN GOODE SHELTON.

They had no children, but took several relatives' children in their home to rear.

SILAS TARVER was the son of BENJAMIN TARVER and HANNAH SMITH.

Bob
