Thanks a ton for the info. I did have the biographical info.

do you have any info on the d.c. infantry? or a direction I may take to try to determine WHERE he was during the war? Is it possible that he enlisted in name only and served his time in the states? or were they active participants in Cuba or Philippines?

I know that I have a ton of questions, but I would like to learn more about the man who submitted the first anti-lynchign bill into Congress.
