It took a year for NARA to contact me and tell me the VA had the records and now I have waited over 9 months with no response. I guess that's a short time considering your experience.
I am looking for information on Horace John McCartney who was born in NY 1874. He fought in the Spanish American War and the Phillipines and was married to his cousin Roseann. They had no children and I was hoping to find out who his parents were and see how he and his wife were related. I am related to Roseann McCartney who was born in Ballymaguigan, Derry, N Ireland.
