Pension Records
Posted by: Carolyn Burke (ID *****8421) Date: May 24, 2002 at 07:02:35

My grandfather, Henry Koffler, served in 1899 in PR.
Was returned home on a hospital ship, Relief, due to
maleria.

I got his service records and was told by Washington, DC
that his pension records were turned over to the VA.

I have written to the VA for the pension records. I was
told it takes from 18 to 24 months to get these records.
I wrote to them about 18 months ago now. It will be two years in October.

Has anyone had this experience? Has anyone gotten pension
records from the VA?
