Twelve Months with the Eighth Massachusetts Infantry in the Service of the United States, p 270,
Macleod, George I., Boston, enlisted Company H, Sixth Massachusetts Infantry, June 15, 1898; transferred to Company E, Eighth Massachusetts Infantry, December 22, 1898; mustered out April 28, 1899.
His widow was the last person to collect a Spanish American War pension.
George was from Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada
