John T. King Hartford CT- SAW-?
Hi:
I found record of a John T. King from Hartford CT who
served in the 1st regiment,CVI in Spanish American War.He was mustered in on June 16,1898 and sick in Hartford Hospital 9 Oct,1898.
I have a relative named John T. King born in Hartford
On Oct 6,1862 died March 2,1935,buried in St. Patrick cemetery in Hartford. Father named John "Thomas" and Mother named Jane, they lived on Windsor St. John Father-"Thomas" was a cigar maker by trade.
My relative John was a father of 7 children, a catholic and
occ cigar maker for 53 years. His family had a wholesale tobacoo business located on Main Streen in Hartford. John and wife Catherine were married on Feb 14,1885 and lived on Walnut st in Hartford.
I am attempting to determine if my relative John T. King is the same person who served in the Spanish American War,the record of Service of Connecticut men in SAW had no age or place of birth for John T. King only that he was a residence of Hartford.
Any addl info, would be very much appreciated.
