Virginia Confederate veteran killed in Spanish-American War
Posted by: Ron Coddington (ID *****9835) Date: August 16, 2006 at 19:23:14

I am trying to identify a photograph of a Confederaate soldier named Smith (no first name is given) who reportedly served in the 11th Virginia Infantry during the Civil War, and went on to serve in the Spanish-American War, where he was killed in the fighting on San Juan Hill as a member of the Rough Riders.

I have not been able to verify this and hope someone can help!

Thanks,
Ron
