Just a little clarification,Athens is the county what is the town? The mention of a W.F. Lovell as a nieghbor I would guess is more than likely him, typos (or Write-0s) where very common on census records, and if your looking at the 1880 census record on the web, it is copied from the original writing, and I come across many simple such erros, you need maybe a view of the actual census, and still then It could just be a typo, my own name if often written with the rong middle initial. and people tended to marry those who lived close to them, some people never traveled far from there home county. unless they where headin west.
