My great-grandfather signed up at Fort Sam Houston near San Antonio TX. The form said "enlisted for Phillipine service" and "assigned to foreign service Reg US Army" He signed up as single, when in fact he was married with two children. Papers show he served in Co A Regiment 15 Calvary, Co C Regiment 15 Calvary, and 31 C A. He was discharged 1-31-1904 at Fort (Teaswell?) NC expiration of service. He was discharged as corporal. My question:
How can I find out where he actually served? What was C.A. --Was it coastal artillery? I am fortunate to have a picture of him in his uniform!! Thanks!
