John, The source is the Civil War/Spanish American War Pension Index on Ancestry.com.His service records can be obtained through the Mississippi State Archives or the
National Archives using FORM NO.86.The pension file would contain more genealogical information & can be ordered from the National Archives using FORM NO.85.I will get back to you should I run across more info on Deane.
