I am doing the research on a Henry C. Thompson who according to the 1900 military and Naval population census at the seaport of Detroit Michigan. Was born aug. 1854 in virginia, who's residence was 448 west 2nd street in Erie Pa. We also have a couple of medals. one says Spanish war veterans, and the other says Michigan, below it says Wolverine. On the back of this medal it reads: C.S.C no. 11863 Henry C. Thompson U.S.S. Michigan. April 9, 1899.
My boyfriends family knew very little about that side of the family. If anyone could provide any information or guide me in the direction that I must go, I would be most appreciative!

Tina Stiles
