Service Record

I'd like to find out if my great uncle fought in the Spanish American War.

My great uncle's name was George E. Mingle. He was born in Rock Falls, IL. about 1884.

Heritage Quest lists a George Mengle, 45, born in IL. about 1885 as a patient in the VA hospital in Prescott, Yavapai, Arizona in their 1930s census.

I looked on Ancestary a couple years ago, and could find no record of him in the military.

I don't have a date of death on George, although his fathers obit lists him as living in Nebr. in 1939.

Does anyone on the board have access to military records they might search for me? Or could someone refer me to there an online database where I might find some information?

Thanks,
Barb Chandler
