I got so fed up with the Archives that I now use a Washington, DC researcher to look up and copy files. Costs a little more, but I receive carefully printed copies within TWO WEEKS! If no record found, no charge involved.

P.S. I requested Medal of Honor records and they couldn't find them! Had to hire a professional genealogist who got them for me. Cost me $120 but well worth the cost.
