Company D 2nd Texas Infantry
I am looking for information on Co D 2nd Texas Infantry.James M. Scott is buried in Adair County, KY and his headstone reads the Spanish-American War.. No dates as to when he died or when he was born.I do know he married Ellie Garnett and they were not married very long when he died. They had one son from there marriage and he was young when his father died.In the 1910 census she is listed as widow with one child. Her and James married about 1900 in Adair Co., KY and he must have went off to the Spanish-American War in Texas.Do not know much about this war and not sure why he went there to join????Any help with how to obtain more information or any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
