World Families at:

http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/spangler/results

has DNA results posted for ten individuals.

I have been searching for the ancestors of Daniel Spangler 1716-1787 for almost 50 years. He has left no tracks that I can follow. Legend says he and his wife Mary came from Germany via "the vicinity of York County, PA". It is said that this is documented in a family bible written in German. The where abouts of this bible is unknown and last reported in 1916. Rumors in the 1990s put it with a family in Pittsylvania Co., VA. So far I have been unable to locate it.

Numerous genealogies on the net show Daniel's parents. Most I can disprove via paper records. Others I cannot. DNA testing seems to be the best way to prove or disprove genealogies posted on the net that show his lineage.

Any help would be greately appreciated.
