I have sent off for a DNA test kit to see if I can break the impasse on Daniel Spangler and his wife Mary [?] who settled in Franklin County, TN in 1772. Many of the Spanglers have taken for granted that they are descended from one of the Pennsylvania Spangler/Spenglers. Those who have ties to Daniel and Mary have no verification that they are related through any of these lines. I would like to invite any male Spangler to join in the DNA project. There is a lot of misinformation on the web in many of the family histories. this project will be through Family Tree and can be found at www.familytreedna.com. Please pardon the password message. I have yet to hear from the administrators on the password but somehow was given access to the "post Message".
