Just to remind you that Corcega is French, not Spanish and most of the Corsicans coming to Puerto Rico in the 19th. Century were from Cap du Corse, the northern peninsula of the island. The island is known as Corse in French and Corsica in English.
There was a big inmigration to Puerto Rico in the last century, and you should be able to find information about the Semideys.I remember my family talking about a Laly Semidey, and I think she lived in san Juan.
