The meaning of Magaz come may come from a craft, such as the name "Brewster" which refers to a female brewer. A lot of these craft-based family names can be a profession in some other language. Because of this it is useful to know the country of origin of a name, and the languages spoken by it's ancestors. Many names like Magaz originate from religious texts like the Quran, the Bhagavadgītā, the Bible, and so forth. Often these names relate to a religious phrase such as "Favored of God".
Es muy extraño que nadie sepa el origen de este apellido. Mi apellido es Magaz también pero soy de Rusia y en mi país este apellido es muy raro. Sé que el apellido es popular en Turquía y en los países arabes
