I am considering hiring a genealogical researcher in Spain to research my grandfather's line. I know his full name and birthdate, and I believe he was born in the province of Toledo. I have not been able to locate what city he was born in. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could try to pin that down (such as phone books for the era and area), census records, or any other places, or would it be worthwhile to hire a genealogist without that key bit of information?
Also, the only genealogists I see on the web for Spain, are from mygenealogist.com. They may be good, but are expensive. Does anyone else have suggestions on good, cost effective, and reliable genealogists who are local to the area I would be researching?
