THIS IS A GOOD DAY, AT LEAST I HOPE AND THINK SO..
FIRST, MY NAME IS STEVE MILLER AND MY GRNDFATHER WAS A FRANCISCO MENENDEZ, ALSO FROM ASTURIAS SPAIN. HIS WAS BORN
in abt.1883.. Asturias is about all I know about him on that end, with exception of the story that he took his mothers maiden name to escape the Spanish Mafia and arrived in the u.s. ( I THINK, NEW YOUR ) abt. 1903. I figure He married my grandmother, Agripina Martinez about 1921 in Los Angeles Ca.and living in La Puente, a city in the Los Angeles County. They Had two children, a son ROBELTO who died early on and a girl, my mother, Josefa G. Menendez B.3/1922. I've found him on the 1910 Census, living in a bording house in Los Angeles and a Cegar Maker by trade. He d. abt 1943 Walnut, California And is buried in the Catholic Cem. Pomona, Calif.
It would really be great if this were man was related some how, as I have so little info to go on..
