Hi!
I am really interested in getting to know about our ancestry and am really intrigued about it!
I lived in El Combate, Cabo Rojo in PR from 1989-1996 and since then have been in the US Navy. I am going to be stationed in Rota, Spain in September and thought that I might be able to give a hand in the real old stuff from the old world!
Your father's name sounds real familiar... Arce... I know the Grajales Olivos... Tia Mary and I know that I am of the Grajales Vega's. My grandfather remarried Ana Grajales afterwards and Oscar Grajales Grajales appeared.
I heard most of the folklore the same from tio and grandfather. I have on a different note heard that the family had originated out of a northern european nation and that the last name had originated out of a problem with translation into spanish. That would explain the way that all Grajales' are family. But that part of the family left Spain and travelled to the Canary Islands and from there or Spain to the New world too...
There are Grajales' in California, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Spain to my knowledge. I have been trying to collect data of our ancestry for some years now... Spanish or English is cool. Where are you... Well hope to hear from ya.
Your Cuz
Richard Grajales
