I have just learned one of the three towns in Germany named "Lauf" is just north of Achern, which is almost due east (ost) of Strasbourg. I'm trying to establish if this is the Lauf my Grandfather left when he came to the US aboard the Brig Bohl Bohlen that arrived in Philadelphia in August of 1886. I really need to know where the marriage and/or birth records from this Lauf can be located. Can you help me? Thanks.
