I am researching the Kinney family, and Catherine (Catheren, Cathren) Kinney married Ephraim Sowers in Knox County, Ohio in 1853. Ephraim was born in 1829 in Ohio, and Margaret was born in 1835 in Ohio. They had at least two children, Margaret, born ca 1854 and John, born ca 1856. John had six children by his wife Hallie, and lived in Hillsdale County, Michigan.
By 1870, Ephraim and Margaret were in Hillsdale County, Michigan, where they were in 1880, and were in Waldron, Michigan there when they made affadavits for a Civil War pension in the 1885-1890 period. They were in Fork Township, Mecosta County, Michigan in 1900 and 1910. I have yet to find a record of their deaths.
