William Sowell, son of John?

Still looking for proof that my William Sowell, born 1790, NC was the son of John Sowell, who in turn was the son of Obediah Sowell. My William Sowell lived in Madison County, TN in 1850 then moved his family to White County, Ark. William married Mary? who was also born in NC. One of their children was Dempsey Sowell/Sewell who married Amanda Henderson. Any help on this family would be appreciated.
