Does anyone have information about the Sowell's from Bertie County, NC coming to Texas and if they were involved in the Republic or the Alamo. I'm trying to see if I can become Daughters of the Republic. I've seen a lot of websites about Sowell but have not been able to make this link. I live in Austin, Texas now.
