King David Sowell question

I know this line of the Sowell family has been discussed very well over the last five or six years on this list. However, I do have a question:

King and Jane Sowell of Kershaw Co, SC had a daughter, Margaret Jane who married Zachariah Holley about 1843. Zachariah and Margaret Jane migrated to Red River Parish, Louisiana from Chesterfield Co, SC about 1857. Their last child born in SC before the move was King David Holley. Obviously, King Holley's name came from his maternal grandfather. I believe he was always refered to as "King David" within his family. I was wondering if King Sowell's middle name was really David and if someone has proof of such.

thank you,
Susan Holley
