Dear Anne,
Constant Southworth of Plymouth Colony is my 8th great grandfather and about 1940 my mother's cousin George Southworth [1890-1972] was in England setting up radar sites. At that time he completed his family history research and so my records show: Conatant [1615], son of Edward [1590], son of Sir Thomas & Rosamond Lister, son of Sir John & Mary (Ashton) Gouland. According to George, Sir Thomas & Rosmond had nine children and he reported none by Sir Thomas' first wife, Bridget Pigot.
Much has changed in research accuracy in the last sixty years. I hope that you can help me sort and correct my data. I'm also interested in where John Southworth [1592-1654] fits into the Southworth Family of that era. I figure that Father John became a martyr & saint while his cousin Edward [1590-1621] became a Puritan.
Any illumination you can give these matters will be much appriciated.
Sincerely, Russ Hesch, Michigan, USA
