Hi. Sorry I'm not from Canada, but if you're doing family research you might be interested in this.
I have a Southworth DNA Project underway through which I hope to eventually resolve many questions we family researchers have about how or if the various names (Southard, Southward,Southworth, Suther, etc.) link together or with the Southworth main line from England. We also hope to determine if there are common geographic origins and, most importantly, if our research, which was based on circumstantial evidence for the most part, can be proven by adding the power of 21st century genetics. The results should benefit our family researchers everywhere.
I hope you will check out my website at http://home.bellsouth.net/p/pwp-WordenDNAhttp://home.bellsouth.net/p/pwp-WordenDNA. (If clicking on the link doesn't work, please copy and paste it into your browser.)
Thank you for considering joining our volunteer, noncommercial project. (Any male with the Southard, Southworth or similar name would be a candidate, but we only need one or two to represent your line -- father, brother, cousin, etc.) There's no blood-letting, just a simple swab of the cheek done in the privacy of your own home with a kit that is mailed to you from the lab.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Doris Wheeler
A Southard descendant
