Mary Ann Southwell, was the daughter
of Robert Goodwyn Southwell (1806-1883) and
Mary Myrick (1810-1891), a daughter of
Eli Myrick. Robert G. Southwell was a son
of Mary Goodwyn & William Southwell, Sr.,
(died 1830) and a granddaughter of Sarah &
Edward Southwell, Sr. (died c. 1778), who
had moved to the south part of old
Orangeburgh Dist., SC, from the area near
present-day Columbia,SC. Mary Ann married
Henry Joyce Creech (1815-1887), son of
Sarah Kirkland and John Creech. She and
H.J. Creech had the following children:
1. Sarah Kirkland Creech (1848-1891) m.
Edmund Berry Sanders (1842-1928).
2. Arthur Creech (b. 1850) died young.
3. Cornelia Elizabeth Creech (1852-1947) m.
Basil Manly Jenkins (1847-1937).
4. Henry Clay Creech (1854-1914) m. 1st
Laura Eugenia Harrison (1855-1894); 2nd
Lottie Sanders (1875-1923).
5. Ann Mary Creech (1857-1891) m.
Elias Henry Jenkins (1852-1915).
6. Easter Creech (1860-1926) m.
Conelius W. Hogg (1860-1906)
7. Alice Idella Creech (1863-1927) m.
Richard Frank Creech (1863-1892).
8. Robert A. Creech (1866-1891)
9. John Creech m. a Miss Sams.

I descend from William Southwell, Sr.,
myself through a different line..from his
dau. Harriet (1797-1860) who married
Thomas M. Enicks (1787-1855). I am their
great-great-grandson. My house in Kline
(Barnwell County), S.C., is the house that
Mary Ann's son, H.C. Creech, had built for
her after her husband's death in 1887.
