I recently found information that a gggrandfather fought for the Federals, which I take to mean Union. He was from middle Tennessee, Wilson Co., but doubt that he enlisted there. Have no idea where to look for him. He did draw a Pension up until his death about 1878 and his widow drew it until her remarriage in 1880. Have come across several possibilities as being my man. Name: George Allison Gibson possibly G. A. Gibson, actually any combination of; thought I could find information from the wife's Pension: Elizabeth Lamastus Gibson - but don't know where to look. Confederate Pensions are easy to find the right numbers; but Union I have no clue. He could have enlisted anywhere? Any help is much appreciated as I have no clue how to find him.
Thanks for reading this and helping if possible.
Merlyn Wilkins Gibson
