This seems to be your lucky day.
Charles C. Cock appears on 1890 Veterans Census Schedule Fort Worth,Tarrant County,Texas. It refers to his service as a Private in Company "K" 1st Alabama Cavalry from July 24 1862 to June 12 1865.(2 years 10 Monthes 18 days)
on the next line of census it has Mary Cock, formerly widpw of Holcomb Wiseman (same regt & company) it states he died August 20,1862.He also started service on July 24,1862. Length of service is noted as 27 days.
