I want to learn if David Derrick Verner (my greatx3 grandfather) is the same person as the D.D. Verner listed on the civil war registry as being a member of the Confederate Infantry, 24th Regiment, Georgia Infantry. This D.D. Verner was in company B as a private.

Anyone with documentation or knowledge of where I can find documentation to back up this theory would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
