Hello Faye,

I looked on the NPS "Soldiers and Sailors" site. I see the Philip Paul was a member of 1st Batt LA Cav Scouts Co. C and William F. Ables was a member of the 2nd Reg LA Cav Co. B AKA William F. Able
I would write the National Archives and see if you can order the pension files. Sometimes at your local library you can get access to the genaology computer and research CW pension files. The two men might be listed. Great information come from pesion records.
Good Luck

Dave Frederick
