After giving his desertion date as 12-31-62, his record states, "sick in hospital at Purdy, TN 3-12-63." If any of these possible ancestors or their widows applied for a pension from the Union army, there might be a very complete record of that. I guess that's where I would try next. Can anyone out there tell Jamie how to get the pension records? Notify Administrator about this message?
