Hi Steve,

My ancestor, William A. Campbell, was from N. Florida and served in Company B, 1st Regiment of the Florida Cavalry. I just had this confirmed recently (thanks, Aunt Peg!). I had been looking for his family for years and wondered how they came to Escambia County from points east. I had found a site that led me to believe he MAY have served on the Union side, but family members recently confirmed he did during a visit to the National Archives.
