Miss Unionist

Friends,

I have picked up a copy of “North & South” (May 2003*VOL. 6*Number 4) and read the interesting article “I had no comfort to give the people”, Opposition to the Confederacy in Civil War Mississippi. The article includes some maps that point out the Unionist areas in Miss.

The author is M. Shannon Mallard. According to the notes M. Shannon Mallard is a doctoral student in history at Mississippi State Unv. Would anyone know you a way to contact M. Shannon Mallard at the University? I would like to know more about Unionist in Tishomingo County Miss.

Thanks

Dave Frederick
