While all of the rest of my ancestors fought for the Southern Cause,
GRANVILLE H. WHITLOW, at age 18 in 1863 joined Company "C" of the 2nd
Regiment, Tennessee Mounted Infantry, Tennessee Volunteers at Clifton
Tennessee and was stationed there until discharged in Nashville Tennessee on
May 6, 1865. His brother and brother-in-law died in March and April of 1862
while stationed at Henderson Tennessee with Company "B" of the 51st
Consolidated Tennessee Infantry, CSA.

I would like to know more about these local units. I have a picture of
Granville in a uniform. Should anyone be interested, shoot me an email.
