My gg-grandfather, Milligan Fossett, was from Dekalb Co., AL. He was one of
the many NE Alabamians who served in the Confederacy, then with the Union.
His service with the Union Army was in the 1st TN & AL Independent Vidette
Cavalry. He died (while in a Confederate prison)in Richmond, VA in 1864.
